The Regional Development Corporation (legal name, Territorial Development and Tourism Corporation of the Metropolitan Region) , is a non-profit private law entity, constituted by a public-private board, chaired by the Regional Governor of Santiago, Claudio Orrego Larraín , and its objective is to ensure the comprehensive development of the regional territory.
It was created in 2016 by the Metropolitan Regional Government of Santiago (GORE RM) and the Metropolitan Regional Council of Santiago (CORE RM) , initially with the purpose of planning and managing the comprehensive development and promotion of regional tourism activity, facilitating public-private collaboration and promoting the enhancement of Santiago, its competitiveness and sustainability.

We are responsible for promoting and disseminating the development of tourism in Chile. Promoting, through government policies and programs, national tourist destinations and attractions within and outside the country, to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of Chile.
